Reason for Hire:
Advance Internet contacted All Points Connect (APC) to help them create a plan to promote the jobs section of one of their websites, OregonLive.com during the Fall of 2006. The goals were to create buzz to get people talking about OregonLive.com/jobs, to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to the jobs section of the site, create general awareness among employers about the resources available and to generate overall awareness of all the features of OregonLive.com.
Solution:
APC proposed a mobile marketing component as well as a one-on-one marketing strategy. Using Segways with branded chariot style signage, PT Cruiser bikes and bullhorns, a team of Connectors was dispatched throughout the Portland area to distribute flyers and t-shirts and to talk with people about OregonLive.com/jobs. Connectors targeted local events and popular lunch spots.
Results:
Over the two month campaign, Connectors were able to successfully distribute over 3,200 flyers and 1,000 t-shirts. The team held over 1,200 conversations about OregonLive.com/jobs.
All Points Connect also organized a similar campaign in the Fall of 2007. Connectors rode branded Segways, awarded free lunches, provided entertainment during lunch rushes and gave people up to the minute news headlines over a six week period.
